Traffic Stop Results In Multiple Charges (1)

(Spencer)-- A traffic stop early Saturday in the 4300 mile of Highway 71 in Clay county resulted in the arrest of an Aurelia man.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle for speeding shortly before 4:30 am and discovered the driver, 50-year-old Scott Engelke, had a suspended driver's license. He was then arrested.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered Engelke allegedly possessed a device used for consuming a marijuana product. Engelke was then transported to jail where authorities also found a methamphetamine pipe and meth.

Engelke was charged with driving while suspended, speeding, possession of a controlled substance...marijuana, possession of a controlled substance...methamphetamine, and possession of contraband in a correctional facility...drug paraphernalia.
