Traffic Stop Results In Arrest Of Washington State Man
(Rock Rapids)-- A traffic stop around 10:30 pm Thursday in Rock Rapids resulted in the arrest of a Washington state man on multiple charges.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle for an equipment violation. Upon further investigation the driver, 52-year-old Michael Morris of Kent, Washington, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia; possession of methamphetamine drug paraphernalia, operating without a required ignition interlock device, failure to have a valid driver's license, failure to provide proof against liability and a registration violation.
Authorities say Morris was also charged with theft in the 2nd degree after it was discovered a trailer he was pulling had been stolen out of Rock county, Minnesota.
Morris was booked into the Lyon county jail.
