(Spencer)-- A traffic stop Friday in Clay county resulted in the arrest of a Sioux Rapids woman on drug charges.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office says a deputy saw a marijuana pipe in plain view in the vehicle after he pulled it over in the 4100 mile of Highway 71 for an alleged traffic violation. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in deputies finding a vape pen with THC oil and two baggies of marijuana.

The driver, Sally Skelton of Sioux Rapids, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance...marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no insurance.

Skelton was released after posting bond.
