Three Teens Accused Of Burglarizing Vacant Farm Site Near Sheldon
(Sheldon)-- Three teens have been charged in connection with a burglary at a vacant farm site near Sheldon.
The O'Brien County Sheriff's Office says it received a phone call Monday from a person at the site saying he had caught three people allegedly stealing copper wire, pipes and tools from the location. The caller was able to detain the suspects until officers from the Sheldon Police Department and the O'Brien County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
18-year-old Walker Hollenbeck of Archer was charged with two counts of burglary in the 3rd degree.
Upon further investigation authorities discovered Hollenbeck also allegedly burglarized the same location around July 3rd when a Honda motorcycle was discovered missing from the farm site. It was recovered at a residence in Archer.
Two juveniles, a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old female, were also arrested and charged in the case. The 17-year-old male was transported to the Youth Emergency Services Center in Cherokee. The 16-year-old female was released to her mother.
