Three-County Pursuit Ends In Dickinson County With Arrest

(Spirit Lake)-- The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office today (Tues.) released details into a pursuit that went through several counties and ended in Dickinson county with an arrest.

The Sheriff's Office says it was notified around 7:30 pm April 22nd of an active pursuit in Osceola county and that it was headed eastbound into Dickinson county on 170th Street. The pursuit began in Worthington. Speeds were in excess of 100 mph at times. 

As the pursuit entered Dickinson county the driver lost control of the vehicle, which rolled, coming to rest on its roof.

The driver, 46-year-old Jerry Masterson of Evansville, Indiana, was arrested and charged with 2nd degree theft, careless driving, failure to obey a stop sign, and failure to maintain control. He was being held in the Dickinson county jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond. 

Authorities say the 2000 Buick Century Masterson had been driving was stolen at a Wal-Mart in Boone earlier that same day.
