The Splash Pad In Jackson Is Open To The Community
Fri 6-4-2021 Jackson, MN
The Splash Pad in Jackson has officially opened, KUOO’s Mathew Grisham has the story...
The Splash Pad in Jackson had its ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 3rd near the Jackson High School Softball Field, and people of all ages were in attendance to see the completion of a true community project.
The three-year project saw ten fundraisers and even committee members move away, but the project was finally finished to the enjoyment of the many children in attendance.
City Administrator Matt Skaret said a few words about the project…
“I don’t think anyone dreamt that it would take this long, but I want to say hats off to the Splash Pad Committee, all of you, and it's really a testament to cooperation on a project like this of this magnitude."
Skaret also wanted to thank the many entities that made the project possible, including donors, city council members, and committee members…
“Thank you to everyone, thank you, donors, thank you, school staff, city staff, school board, city council members, Splash Pad Committee, and the public for all your support and for being here!”
The Splash Pad, presented by Splash’n Jackson, is now open for community use and is a great place to go for both kids and kids at heart.
