One of the longest-running bands in the Midwest, The Rumbles will kick off the Iowa Rock n Roll Music Association's Hall of Fame Induction Spectacular on Friday evening.
With a 50-plus year history, the band is currently on what they are dubbing their 'Final Tour.'
Original member Steve Hough says, they're not quite finished yet:

"We are talking about maybe doing a summer thing next summer, but it hasn't really been decided 100 percent at this point."

He notes that the band has a long connection to the Iowa Great Lakes:

"Back in the '60s, you know, when we first were getting going, we were up at the Lake sometimes 3 times a year in the summer.  I'm not really sure how many times it was, but I think there was a book written about The Park.  It said something in there that The Rumbles had played there more than anybody."

Hough adds that The Rumbles are looking forward to IRRMA's Induction Weekend:

"You know, we got into the Hall of Fame there a few years ago, I can't remember the exact year, it was like around 2000, and we weren't able to come to it because we were working that night.
But, this year we'll get to be there during the weekend that they have the ceremonies."

The Rumbles concert begins at 8 o'clock at the Roof Garden in Arnold's Park Friday evening.
The Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Spectacular continues through Sunday, with the Battle of the Bands and Memorabilia Auction on Saturday, and the Induction Ceremony and Concert on Sunday.
