The Iowa Department of Public Health announced this (Saturday) afternoon it's been notified of an additional 23 cases of COVID-19 in the state, for a total of 68 positive cases.

(Des Moines)-- The Iowa Department of Public Health announced this (Saturday) afternoon it's been notified of an additional 23 cases of COVID-19 in the state, for a total of 68 positive cases. 

The department says to date, there have been 1,049 negative tests conducted at the State Hygienic Lab. 

The 23 new cases are being reported from Allamakee, Black Hawk, Dubuque, Fayette, Henry, Johnson, Linn, Muscatine, Polk, Pottawattamie, Story and Washington counties.

IDPH says Iowans who have traveled recently for business or spring break, whether internationally or domestically outside of Iowa, should "strongly consider self-isolating for 14 days."
