The First Eggs & Issues Legislative Forum Of The Session Will Have A Much Different Look And Feel To It
(Spencer)-- “Eggs and Issues” legislative forums are scheduled for January 23rd, February 27th and March 20th. Becky Fear Hatting of the Spencer Chamber of Commerce, which puts on the forums, says atleast the first one is going to have a major change in the format due to COVID-19...
"The format could change on a monthly basis here. It's going to depend on covid and all of the different guidelines that we have, but for this first one on January 23rd we will do the, the legislators themselves, live. So they will be on tv and everything just like normal. The thing that's going to be different is if anyone out there or any public has a question for the legislators, they are not able to attend the session. They need to get their question to myself here at the chamber office and they can email that to firstname.lastname@example.org; they can mail it to the chamber of commerce. I just need to have it before the 23rd. Or if they even email it that morning of the 23rd I will have my laptop with me at the city council chambers, so we will get all the questions answered."
The session will be broadcast live on Spencer Municipal Utilities and will be taped for playback on the Mediacom public access channel.
The forums will be held each date from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.
