Tentative Date Set For JCC Bond Referendum

Tue 8-13-2019

(Jackson, Mn.)-- Voters in the Jackson County Central School District will likely head to the polls in November to decide the fate of a bond issue that's slight more than $35 million.

The school board Monday evening set November 5th as the tentative date for the election during a work session.

If approved, the measure would allow for an addition at Pleasantview Elementary in Lakefield with grades K-3 at Riverside Elementary in Jackson, 4-8 at Pleasantview and 9-12 at the High School. Pre-Kindergarten classes would be held at both elementary schools.

The final hurdle before the election is a positive review and comment from the Minnesota Department of Education. The board instructed the consultants, Kraus Anderson, to prepare the documents for submission at their July meeting.
