Temperatures Are Warmer But Utility Officials Say We Still Need To Take Precautions To Keep Pipes From Freezing

Mon 2-22-2021

(Milford)-- Temperatures have warmed considerably compared to what they were a week ago, with readings today (Monday) getting above freezing for the first time in weeks. However, officials with area utilities say we still need to take the necessary precautions to keep pipes from freezing.

Officials with Milford Municipal Utilities say there's still a possibility of that happening, especially with pipes underground, because the ground temperatures are extremely cold.

It's recommended to continue to run a stream from a faucet that's the width of a pencil lead.
