SW Mn Crash Claims Life Of Teen
(Storden, Mn.)-- A single-vehicle crash Friday in Cottonwood county of southwest Minnesota claimed the life of a teen.
The State Patrol says a Chrysler Sebring was westbound on Highway 30 in Storden when the vehicle went off the north side of the road and hit some gravel. Troopers say it appears the driver then over-corrected and crossed the eastbound lane of the highway. The vehicle then went off the road where it collided with a sign post and vaulted across a drainage ditch. It then rolled several times, coming to rest on its roof.
The driver, 17-year-old Jonathan Escobar Lopez of Storden, died in the crash.
The crash took place shortly after 7:30 am.
