SW Minn. Farmer Named President Of The American Soybean Association
(St. Louis, Mo.)-- A southwest Minnesota farmer is the new President of the American Soybean Association. Bill Gordon, a Worthington native, was elevated to the position Thursday during the organization's December board meeting.
Gordon is the sixth Minnesota farmer to serve as ASA president. He previously served as the organization's Vice President.
Gordon, his wife, Dr. Dawn Gordon and his parents, Galen and Colleen, grow corn and soybeans on their 2,000 acre farm with an additional 400 acres set aside for buffer strips and weltands. The Gordons were named Nobles County's 2019 Farm Family of the Year by the University of Minnesota.
Gordon also owns a business, serves on the Nobles County Corn and Soybean Growers Board and is a board member for a mutual insurance company.
