Suspicious Person Investigation Results In Arrest Of Hartley Man On Multiple Charges
(Spencer)-- An investigation into a suspicious person report by this past Sunday resulted in the arrest of a Hartley man on multiple charges.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to the 3100 mile of 140th Avenue shortly after 5:00 pm after getting a report of a suspicious person who had been at a residence in that area stating that he had been in an accident and wanted to use their phone. However the male later told the occupant of the residence that he didn't want an ambulance or help called for.
Upon arriving deputies found the man walking along the road. Upon investigating it was determined the man, 38-year-old Jeremy Rose, had a suspended driver's license. Rose also admitted that he had used marijuana earlier that afternoon.
Upon further investigation authorities found what's alleged to be marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in a backpack Rose had been carrying.
Rose was arrested and booked into jail on charges of failure to maintain control, operating a non-registered vehicle, no insurance, driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance...marijuana, possession of a controlled substance...methamphetamine, and operating while intoxicated...3rd offense.
