Spirit Lake Music Boosters holding Omelet Brunch Fundraiser April 14
Tue 4-9-2019 2701 Hill Ave, Spirit Lake, IA
(Spirit Lake)-A fundraiser is on tap this coming weekend with the Spirit Lake Music Booster Club. KUOO's Becky Thoreson has details:
The Spirit Lake Music Boosters will hold an Omelet Brunch fundraiser on Sunday.
Co-Chair Clay Norris says students and Booster Club members will serve made-to-order omelets. "It is a wonderful omelet brunch that we prepare right in front of you, you know, kind of create your own omelet, we'll cook it for you. There's also really great homemade cinnamon rolls, drinks, coffee, all that sort of stuff, and it's $8 a ticket. It is happening at the Spirit Lake High School in the multi-purpose room. Park in the east parking lot and walk in there kind of where you go in to watch the basketball games."
He notes that proceeds from the event will be used toward student trips. "We use the funds to help the kids go on some music trips, and the big one is every four years, in fact, the kids that are in high school right now, freshmen through seniors, just went to Florida. We're going to be preparing for the next round of kids that will go in 2023, the students that are presently 5th grade through 8th grade. So, the monies will go toward those guys, and then also, once everybody's a senior, they can go on a senior trip. Each one of the student's accounts can apply towards that trip as well."
The Brunch will run from 9 to 1 Sunday at Spirit Lake High School.
Tickets available at the door or from any music student in grades 6 through 12.
Preschoolers free with paid adult.
