Spencer Man Escapes Serious Injury In Semi Tanker Accident
(Orange City)-- A Spencer man escaped serious injury this past Thursday when a semi he was driving overturned in Sioux county.
The Sioux County Sheriff's Office says Michael Bennet of Spencer was driving a 2000 International semi pulling a tanker half-full of milk. Deputies say Bennet was attempting to make a left-turn into a farm residence when the shoulder of the gravel road gave way, causing the semi/trailer to roll onto its top into a ditch, leaking some milk and oil.
Bennet was checked over on the scene by paramedics and was released.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the George Fire Department also responded to the scene.
