Spencer Hospital Breaks All The Odds With Not Just One, But TWO Babies Being Born On Leap Day
(Spencer)-- While the odds for one baby being born on leap day are low, you would think the odds of two would be even lower. But those odds were smashed at Spencer Hospital, as two baby boys were born on leap day this past Saturday.
Kevin and Tara Brown, along with their 4-year-old son Oscar, welcomed Philip Nathanael Brown at 7:19 am Saturday.
Then, just after Noon Saturday, Tony Reding and Shelbie Christensen welcomed Maddox Marvin Reding into the world.
Odds of a baby being born on Leap Day are 1 in 1,461, and according to the U.S. Census, approximately 205,000 people living in the United States have a February 29th birthday, which is a small fraction of the 357.2 million U.S population.
Both babies received gift baskets from Spencer Hospital Auxiliary volunteers.
