Spencer Community Schools Confirms Two Positive Cases Of COVID-19
(Spencer)-- Two positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at Spencer High School.
In a letter to parents, Superintendent Terry Heman says all individuals who have had direct exposure, defined as being within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more, to those who have tested positive have been contacted and given directions to quarantine. He says anyone developing symptoms should seek medical advice and/or COVID testing.
Heman says the Spencer Community School District continues to follow all COVID-related procedures. He adds they are working closely with Clay County Public Health to address the matter.
Heman says they have planned and are prepared for the situation. He urges everyone to remain calm, be empathetic and respectful to those affected.
