(Jackson, Mn.)-- Authorities say speed and alcohol were contributing factors in a motorcycle crash Friday afternoon in Jackson county that injured a Round Lake man.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says 35-year-old Derek Beglinger of Round Lake was operating a 2006 Honda B60 motorcycle when he lost control, went into the ditch, and was ejected from the motorcycle.

Beglinger was taken to the Worthington hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The motorcycle was totaled.

The crash took place around 3:00 pm on Jackson County Road 4, just east of County Road 5.
