Some Popular Events Will Be Returning To The Dirt Track At This Year's Clay County Fair

(Spencer)-- Some popular events will be returning to the dirt track at this year's Clay County Fair.

Fair officials announced today (Wed.) Chuckwagon Races will appear at the fair for the final time Saturday and Sunday, September 7th and 8th at 12 noon both days. The Chuckwagon Racers of Iowa-Minnesota Association is disbanding following this year's races at the fair. That event has been a tradition at the Clay County Fair that started in 1962.

Another event, the Antique Tractor Pull, will begin at 8:00 am Tuesday, September 10th with free admission to all fairgoers.

And IMCA racing will be back at this year's Clay County Fair, beginning with hotlaps at 6:30 pm September 11th. It will be the final night of racing for the IMCA class racing for the 2019 season at the Clay County Fair Speedway. The night will also feature the IMCA 305 season championship sprint car race.
