Some Large Power Poles In Several Areas Of Arnolds Park Will Be Coming Out
(Arnolds Park)-- The Arnolds Park City Council Wednesday approved an agreement that will result in the removal of some large power poles in several parts of town.
The bases for most of the poles reportedly go some 15 to 20 feet into the ground. ITC Midwest, which owns them, sought permission from the city to not dig the full depth to remove them entirely. The agreement the council approved includes a stipulation that there be atleast a foot of soil covering the top of the poles from where they'll be cut off.
In other business the council approved an agreement with Remax for an exit from its property onto Iowa Street, after learning plans for a business development on the same site have been scaled back. A stipulation was also attached to that agreement calling for the issue to be re-visited should those plans change again.
The council also approved an agreement with The Crossings condominiums allowing them to connect a storm drain to the city's storm sewer to address a drainage issue.
