(Estherville)-- Some students at Iowa Lakes Community College recently spent their spring break on a humanitarian mission.

Students in the Laker Life campus ministry traveled to Chicago where they spent a week working with underprivileged children and prepared and served food at shelters for the homeless, including the Pacific Garden Mission...the oldest, continuously operated rescue mission in the country.

Brett Fuelberth, co-adviser for the Iowa Lakes group, says the mission trip helps teach students to become servant leaders. He thanked the area churches and community members that helped out with the trip.
