Single Vehicle Crash Claims Life Of Armstrong Man

(Estherville)-- A single vehicle crash today (Monday) in Emmet county has claimed the life of an Armstrong man.

The Emmet County Sheriff's Office says it received a report around 6:00 am this (Mon.) morning from motorist who discovered a vehicle that had struck a bridge in the 5700 block of 200th Street. 

Upon arriving on the scene deputies determined 71-year-old Kenneth Manley of rural Armstrong had been driving a 2004 Ford F-150 pickup eastbound when the vehicle collided with the southwest corner of the bridge. 

Manley was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Emmet County Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by Armstrong Fire and Ambulance and the Emmet County Medical Examiner's Office. 

Authorities say the crash is still under investigation.
