Sibley Woman Accused Of Stealing Credit Cards From Assisted Living Residents And Using Them For Unauthorized Purchases
(Sibley)-- A Sibley woman is accused of making unauthorized charges on credit cards she allegedly stole from two residents of an assisted living facility in Sibley.
26-year-old Kari Josephine Tjaden was arrested last week on two counts of unauthorized use of a credit card for less than $1,000 and two counts of 5th degree theft.
Osceola county authorities say an investigation was initiated after they received complaints about suspicious charges showing up on bank statements.
Tjaden is accused of using the cards to make a purchase of $10.25 at a convenience store in Sibley and to purchase nearly $49 in beauty products online.
