Severe Thunderstorms Bring Damaging Wind, Hail To Some Areas

Fri 6-5-2020

(Undated)-- Severe weather tore through portions of the region overnight damaging crops and in some cases bringing down trees and tree limbs. Some of the storms that moved through shortly before midnight also packed large hail. There were numerous reports of one inch diameter hail including near Sanborn, in the Milford area, and between Milford and Terril where some crop damage was reported.

A 2.5 foot diameter tree was blown down on the northwest side of Big Spirit Lake, on County Road M-49.

Wind gusts in some of the storms were as high as 50 to 70 mph.
