Several Main Hwys In SW Mn Being Affected By Downed Poles & Power Lines
(Mankato, Mn.)-- The Minnesota Department of Transportation says several major highways in southwest Minnesota are still being impacted by downed power lines and poles.
MnDOT says motorists need to exercise extreme caution in several areas, including on Highway 71 from Jackson to the Iowa border; Highway 86 from Wilder to the Iowa border and Highway 15 from Fairmont to the Iowa border.
In addition, MnDOT says Highway 59 from Worthington to Fulda remains closed due to downed power lines.
In addition, the agency says several rest areas on Interstate 90 are closed due to loss of power, including both eastbound and westbound at Adrian, the eastbound (Clear Lake) rest area near Jackson and the Worthington weigh scale.
