Several Bridge Projects In NW Iowa, Including Two In Dickinson County, Awarded Federal Funding

(Des Moines)-- A federal grant awarded to the Iowa Department of Transportation will go toward several bridge projects in northwest Iowa...including two in Dickinson county. It includes bridges at 195th Avenue and 140th Street, both of which cross the Little Sioux River.
The others are for bridge projects on Birch Avenue across Klondike Creek in Lyon county and Olive Avenue, or County Road L36 over Polly Creek in Osceola county.
The state of Iowa will be receiving $33.4 million through the federal Competitive Highway Bridge Program, the largest amount awarded to any state.
A total of 77 bridges in Iowa will be improved through the funding.
