Seasons Center Awarded Grant For Prevention & Early Intervention Programs
(Spencer)-- Spencer-based Seasons Center For Behavioral Health has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Lakes Area Decat Board.
The funds will go toward the purchase of a resources and materials for specialized prevention and early intervention behavioral health, physical health, wellness and nature-based programs and services at Autumn's Center and Camp Autumn.
Christina Eggink-Postma, Vice-President of Program Coordination and Compliance at Season's Center, says the funding will given them an opportunity to enhance and expand the use of evidence-based programs and services. She says the nature-based programs are especially beneficial to children in the healing process.
Autumn's Center opened in October of 2016 in Spencer, serving 1,000 children in the first six months.
Camp Autumn, a therapeutic day camp for children, will open June 5th as an extension of Autumn's Center.
