Seasons Center Awarded $100,000 Grant
(Spencer)-- Spencer-based Seasons Center for Behavioral Health has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Iowa Department of Human Services for prevention and early intervention.
Christina Eggink-Postma, Vice President of Program Coordination and Compliance, says the 9-month grant will benefit a 19 county area of northwest Iowa.
She says Seasons Center will be conducting a comprehensive community needs assessment along with regional training and respite care, among other things.
She adds a number of collaborative partners are also involved in the grant, including Boys Town, Clay County Public Health, the Cherokee School District, Juvenile Court Services, Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Siouxland Human Investment Partnership and the Plains Area Mental Health Center.
