Search Of Storm Lake Residence Results In Massive Drug Bust

(Storm Lake)-- Three arrests were made after Storm Lake Police searched a house at 1005 East Ninth Street Thursday afternoon.

Officers seized four pounds of what’s believed to be crystal meth along with a vehicle. Police charged 28-year-old Billy Fang of Storm Lake with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, two counts of trafficking stolen weapons, and three counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, all class “D” felonies… possession with intent to deliver psilocybin mushrooms, a class “C” felony… and possession of meth with intent to deliver, a class “B” felony. Fang was jailed on a 100-thousand dollar bond.

Later Thursday afternoon, police searched 705-C West Eighth Street where officers seized additional suspected crystal meth, two hand guns, and two assault rifles. Police say two of the firearms were reportedly stolen. Police also seized 70 pounds of marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, a vehicle, and other paraphernalia.

Thursday evening, officers searched a residence at 401 Cayuga, where meth and other drug paraphernalia were seized. Police charged 37-year-old Meng Her of Storm Lake with possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor …and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. He was jailed on a 13-hundred dollar bond.

Police also located 34-year-old Marvin Moua of Storm Lake, who was wanted in connection with the investigation. He was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, two counts of trafficking stolen weapons, and three counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, all class “D” felonies… possession with intent to deliver psilocybin mushrooms, a class “C” felony… and possession of meth with intent to deliver, a class “D” felony. Moua’s car was seized and he was jailed on a 100-thousand dollar bond.

Police estimate the street value of the seized drugs at over 282-thousand dollars.

The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Storm Lake PD K-9 Unit, Storm Lake PD Tactical Team, Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Department SERT Team and the Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement.
