Sanborn Man Wanted For Contempt Of Court Also Faces Weapons Charge
(Spencer)-- A Sanborn man wanted on a warrant charging him with contempt of court who was arrested Sunday in Clay county also faces a weapons charge.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says 44-year-old Brady Griffin was arrested around 6:30 pm on Highway 18 near Everly.
Authorities say Griffin was wanted on the O'Brien county warrant and that upon making the arrest he was found to be in possession of a handgun. Upon further investigation they learned Griffin had been previously convicted of domestic abuse assault and was not supposed to possess a firearm.
In addition to the warrant, Griffin was charged with dominion or control of a firearm as a domestic abuser. The charge is a class “D” felony. He was booked into jail on a $5,000 bond and was also being held for O'Brien county authorities.
