Registration underway for 2nd Annual Okoboji Bike-n-Bite to be held June 8

The 2nd Annual Okoboji Bike-n-Bite will be held on June 8.

ISU Extension Human Sciences Program Coordinator Sue Boettcher says the event will get underway at the Dickinson County Fairgrounds.  "We are kicking it off at the Fairgrounds here in Spirit Lake, so Cy from Iowa State, our Mascot is going to be here and kick off the ride at 9 o'clock, so registration starts at 8.  We encourage people to go over to the Farmer's Market and taste some bites over there and look through the Farmer's Market.  At 9 o'clock we kick off the ride."

She adds that preregistration runs through Wednesday.  "It's $15 for all the bites and for the final meal, and that is through June 5th, after that the price is $20.  They can stop in our office here at the Fairgrounds or they can just bring it into the door on Saturday.  We'll also have some commemorative t-shirts for sale here at $10, and then a portion of those proceeds is going to help fight food insecurity here in Dickinson County, and then a new thing we added this year is a photo contest, so kind of fun to share pictures as you're going along the route."
