RAGBRAI to Trek Across Northern Iowa with Overnight Stops Planned for Spencer & Algona
(Des Moines)-- A major announcement over the weekend for some area cities when it comes to RAGBRAI. Organizers of the annual bike ride across Iowa announced Saturday this year's ride will take a route across northern Iowa.
RAGBRAI will begin July 23rd in Orange City, with the first overnight stop along the route in Spencer. The stop the next night will be in Algona, as the ride progressively makes it's way eastward, ending July 29th in Lansing.
Organizers say this year's route will cover 411 miles and that the course should be the third easiest one in the event's 45-year history.
Other overnight stops are planned for Clear Lake, Charles City and Waukon.
