Project At Spencer Hospital To Result In Some Temporary Changes

Thu 2-16-2017

(Spencer)-- A floor repair/replacement project in the lobby at Spencer Hospital will be getting underway Monday.

Hospital officials say it will mean foot traffic from the lobby to most of the rest of the hospital will be limited and likely require a longer route. Hospital officials say those needing access to the Surgery or Birth Center will still use the main front lobby entrance. Patients and visitors needing access to other areas of Spencer hospital will need to use the entrance by valet parking, located next to the gift shop and Wolfe Eye Clinic. A temporary information desk will be staffed in that area to help guide patients and visitors.

Officials say doors to the main lobby for access to the surgical and birth centers will be open from 5:30 am to 7:00 pm daily. After 7:00 pm they say visitors will need to use the emergency entrance on the east side of the hospital campus. Doors to the smaller lobby next to the valets' station will be open from 5:30 am to 7:00 pm weekdays and will be closed on weekends.

Spencer Hospital officials say the project is slated for completion in late March.
