President & CEO Of Lakes Regional Healthcare Attends State Of The Union At Invitation Of Congressman Steve King
(Washington, D.C.)-- The President and CEO of Lakes Regional Healthcare got to witness the President's State Of The Union address in person last (Tues.) night in Washington, D.C. Jason Harrington was the invited guest of Congressman Steve King. King says he extended the invitation to Harrington for his assistance in getting Jaci Hermstad of Spencer, who's battling A-L-S Lou Gehrig's Disease, back and forth to Rochester for her treatments...
"We're celebrating her life and celebrating the belief that I have that she's the most likely person on the planet to finally survive A-L-S Lou Gehrig's Disease."
Harrington says he didn't hesitate when he received the phone call wondering if Lakes Regional Healthcare would be willing to provide ambulance transportation for Jaci...
"And we're about neighbors helping neighbors. We can do this. The Hermstads live not far from us and this is something that we wanted to do. I didn't give two thoughts about it and I said we'd do it. I called our Ambulance Supervisor and he made that happen. We subsequently have done 13 trips for Jaci and we're excited to be a part of what may be the most likely or the best chance of any sort of treatment for A-L-S, and just to play some small part of that, we're honored."
Harrington says he was surprised and honored when he received the Congressman's invitation to attend the State Of The Union speech.
