Possible Injuries Reported In Two-Vehicle Collision In Downtown Spencer
(Spencer)-- Possible injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision Friday at the intersection of 4th Street and Grand Avenue in Spencer.
Police say it involved a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 28-year-old Breanna Magee of Everly and a 2002 Dodge Intrepid driven by 18-year-old Ashley Cagle of Spencer. Officers say Magee was northbound on Grand Avenue and Cagle was westbound on 4th Street when the two collided in the intersection.
Cagle complained of soreness to her chin caused by the deployment of the vehicle's air bag, but she didn't seek immediate treatment. No injuries were reported to Magee, who was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
$2,000 in damage was estimated to the vehicle driven by Magee; the one driven by Cagle sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage.
The collision took place around 2:30 pm.
