Possible Injuries Reported In Hwy 86 Collision

(Spirit Lake)-- The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office has released details into a two-vehicle collision last Thursday on Highway 86 that resulted in possible injuries to one person. Authorities say it took place near the intersection with 205th Avenue. Deputies say LeAnn Pohlman of Lakefield was stopped on the highway and was waiting to turn onto 205th Avenue when she was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Conner Grussing of Lakefield.

Pohlman sustained possible injuries; no injuries were reported to Grussing.

Damage to a 2013 Chrysler driven by Pohlman was estimated at $10,000; a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Grussing sustained an estimated $6,000 in damage.

Grussing was cited for failure stop in an assurred, clear distance ahead.

The collision took place shortly after 5:30 p.m.

The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance.
