Peterson Man Sentenced In Stolen Vehicle Case

(Spencer)-- A Peterson man arrested in June of 2015 in connection with a stolen vehicle has been sentenced in Clay County District Court.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office alleged a vehicle reported stolen from Fayetteville, Arkansas was found near the residence of 23-year-old Patrick Steffens, who was found to be in possession of the keys for the vehicle.
Steffens was initially charged with second-degree theft. He pleaded guilty to third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor.
He was sentenced to two years in prison, with credit for time served in federal prison. He was also ordered to pay 225-dollars in court costs and surcharges. A 625-dollar fine was suspended.
