Options To Address High Water Levels On The Iowa Great Lakes To Be Presented To Public June 26th
(Spirit Lake)-- The public will have an opportunity to hear firsthand a report on options to prevent future flooding threats on the Iowa Great Lakes at a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 26th at 1:30 pm at the Sami Bedell Center for the Performing Arts at Spirit Lake High School.
The Iowa Great Lakes Association retained the services of Dr. Larry Weber of the University of Iowa's Institute on Hydroscience and Engineering Department. Dr. Weber is also working with Governor Kim Reynolds to examine flooding throughout the state of Iowa.
The options that will be presented at the June 26th meeting are the result of a comprehensive study of the Iowa Great Lakes and modeling that Dr. Weber's team has conducted.
