Okoboji School Bd Votes Unanimously To Sell Middle School Property Following Public Hearing
(Milford)-- The Okoboji School Board voted Monday evening to approve the sale of the Middle School in Arnolds Park to a Lakes Area businessman for $1.1 million.
The vote followed a public hearing that drew comment from a Sibley lawyer who said he was representing a group of taxpayers in the district. Daniel Dekoter accused the board of using a process he claims was flawed.
School board members didn't comment. Superintendent Todd Abrahamson and Board President Brad Droegmiller have previously said the board DID follow proper procedure and fulfilled the terms and intent of a ballot measure that required the property be sold to the highest bidder.
