Okoboji Resident Sentenced For Unauthorized Use Of Credit Card And Forgery
(Sioux City)-- An Okoboji resident... arrested in March on nineteen felony charges... has been sentenced.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation reported 48-year-old Michele Zeisler was charged with six counts of forgery, six counts of credit card fraud, six counts of identity theft, and one count of commission of specified unlawful activity. Zeisler was arrested in Arnold’s Park, following a lengthy investigation by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
The charges were filed in Woodbury County. She pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorized use of a credit card, an aggravated misdemeanor... and one count of forgery, a class “D” felony. The other charges were dismissed.
Zeisler received a deferred judgment on the felony charge, and 15 days time served. She was placed on probation for two years and ordered to pay 38-hundred dollars in fines, surcharges, and court costs.
