Okoboji Foundation Conducting Its $5,000 July NonProfit Challenge
(Arnolds Park)-- The Okoboji Foundation is putting on a special campaign to raise funds for it's nonprofit partners. Mary Freiborg tells KUOO news this marks the second year for their $5,000 July Nonprofit Challenge...
"All through the month of July every non-profit that's created their own fund in our family of funds is participating in a challenge to win $5,000, so they are all hoping that people will go to giveokoboji.com and give a gift of any size to the fund that you love the most to try to help them win the challenge."
Freiborg says you can watch videos that have been submitted by the organizations at GiveOkoboji.com to learn more about what they're up to...
"We have 11 videos, some of them are under water, some of them are on the rollercoaster. They're fun to watch so we hope that people will go and check out the videos at giveokoboji.com, too."
Online donations may also be made at that site. Donations are also being accepted by contacting the Okoboji Foundation office at 332-7177...
"By the time we get to July 31st we will add the totals of everything that's gone into each one of the funds and the one who has the highest total above $5,000 in their fund will win the $5,000 from the Okoboji Foundation that we will put back into their long term fund too for support of their non-profit."
You can see a list of the non-profit organizations that are involved in the challenge by going to Explore Okoboji.com. Go to the news section and click on this story.
