Okoboji Community School District Urging Those Attending A Public Hearing This (Mon.) Evening To Exercise Precautions
(Milford)-- The Okoboji Community School District is urging those planning to attend a public hearing this evening (Mon. March 16th) to exercise some extra precaution due to COVID-19 concerns.
School officials say the hearing to finalize the sale of the Middle School property in Arnolds Park is still on as of right now, but the location has been changed to the Okoboji Elementary gym for greater social distancing. Those attending are asked to sit atleast six feet away from the nearest person. Anyone who is feeling ill is urged to stay home. The district says minutes of the meeting will be posted on its website for review at a later time.
Those attending should use the north entrance on 7th Street.
A statement issued by the district late this (Mon.) morning says "the district reserves the right to cancel or postpone the meeting in accordance with recommendations made by the U.S. Center for Disease Control, the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Governor's Office if it appears a significant (50 or more) number of people plan to attend."
The public hearing is scheduled to start at 5:25 pm.
