(Arnolds Park)-The Okoboji Blue Water Festival has announced the line-up for this year's festival, KUOO's Becky Thoreson has details:
The 3rd Annual Okoboji Blue Water Festival will be held on August 11 at Preservation Plaza in Arnolds Park.
Founder Greg Drees says the festival will feature a full day of activities focused on clean water. "We have a dozen stations where parents and their kids can stop and learn about water quality issues and it's fun, too. It's educational and they have fun. Our activities under the big tent in the Greenspace start at noon with a Fishing Seminar by Tommy Scarlis, and he is a very well known touring walleye and crappie fishing professional. We have two different panels that afternoon under the big tent. We have a dozen conservation professionals from across the state that will join us."
Drees formally announced the performers for this year's festival on KUOO Thursday morning. "This year it's going to be a three act evening. Around 6 o'clock, a cover band from Omaha called The Firm will open. Around 7:30, Atlanta Rhythm Section, then at 9 o'clock, the great Michael McDonald."
