The Okoboji Blue Water Festival has announced a distinguished group of Speakers for the August event.

Festival Founder Greg Drees explains.  "We have a wonderful lineup of speakers from around the State of Iowa.  People like Adam Schneider, who is the Water Quality Coordinator for the DNR, nathan Anderson from Proactical Farmers of Iowa, Sylvia Secchi from the University of Iowa, from the Sustainability Department, and Dr. Larry Weber, who is also from the University of Iowa and an Expert Hydrologist.  On hand at that Speaker's Event, we will also be our own David Thoreson, Worldwide Traveler and Photographer, Rich Leopold, who heads the Polk County Conservation Board, and Joe McGovern from the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation."

He adds that this year's Keynote Speaker will be Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.  "Our Keynote Speaker this year, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and all people need to know about Kennedy is, that he has spent his entire adult life traveling the globe talking about water.  Everything is focused on water and we're just really excited about this part of our festival this year, very, very exciting."
