O'Brien County Collision Sends Two People To The Hospital

(Primghar)-- A two-vehicle collision Wendesday evening in O'Brien county sent two people to the hospital.
The Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Jessica Pederson of Hartley was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox southbound on a county road and had stopped at a stop sign. Deputies say she then pulled out and turned into the path of a westbound 2013 Ford Escape driven by 47-year-old Linda Towe of Paullina.
Pederson and a one-year-old passenger in her vehicle were taken to the Orange City hospital.
Pederson was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
Damage to the Chevrolet driven by Pederson was estimated at nearly $6,000; the Ford driven by Towe sustained an estimated $7,700 in damage.
The collision took place shortly before 7:00 pm.
