NW Iowa Man Sentenced On Federal Meth Charge
(Sioux City)-- A Sioux Center man has been sentenced to more than six years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute methampehtamine.
25-year-old Sergio Lopez-Granillo entered a guilty plea to the charge back on January 26th, admitting his involvement in a conspiracy that distributed atleast 1,500 grams of methampehtamine from 2015 through September 2016 in Minnesota and Iowa. Lopez-Granillo admitted he repeatedly purchased 1 to 2 ounces of meth for a total of nearly 25 pounds from Rogelio Garcia-Jimenez in Worthington for redistribution in Iowa over about three years.
Lopez-Granillo also admitted to distributing methampehtamine to an individual cooperating with law enforcement on a number of occasions.
