NW Iowa Man Sentenced On Federal Meth Charge (2)
(Sioux City)-- A Hawarden man has been sentenced on federal methamphetamine charges.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 31-year-old Ernesto Soto was sentenced Thursday to more than 4 years in prison after pleading guilty in August of last year to possession with intent to distribute meth.
Evidence presented during court proceedings showed that law enforcement found about 32 grams of methamphetamine, 1.6 grams of cocaine, baggies, and a glass smoking device in a vehicle Soto was in during a traffic stop.
Soto had previously been convicted in May of 2014 in Sioux county for intent to manufacturer or deliver under 5 grams of meth.
