Number Of Positive Cases Of COVID-19 In Minnesota Surpasses 11,000
(St. Paul, Mn.)-- The Minnesota Department of Health reported today (Sunday) the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in that state has now surpassed 11,000, reaching 11,271. The department also reported 20 additional deaths due to the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 578.
Minnesota health officials also reported 434 people in hospitals throughout the state with the virus as of Sunday with 199 in intensive care units.
County-by-county statistics for counties in our area of southwest Minnesota as of today (Sunday) included Jackson county with 32 positive cases and no deaths; Cottonwood county with 46 positive cases and no deaths; Martin county with 112 positive cases and four deaths; Watonwan county with 22 positive cases and no deaths; Murray county with 29 positive cases and no deaths; Rock county with 19 positive cases and no deaths; and Nobles county which continues with the highest number of positive cases in the region at 1,255 and two deaths.
