No Serious Injuries Reported In Crash Involving LRH Ambulance In Sioux Falls
(Sioux Falls, S.D.)-- No serious injuries were reported Thursday in a crash in Sioux Falls that involved a Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance.
The Lincoln County South Dakota Sheriff's Office says the rig left the road on 271st Street about two miles east of South Dakota Highway 11, on the southeast side of Sioux Falls. The ambulance went into a ditch and into the backyards of three residences and collided with a utility box before coming to rest on the shoulder of the road.
One of two paramedics on board was treated for minor injuries. The driver and a second paramedic in the ambulance were checked over and released.
LRH officials say the ambulance was transporting a patient to a Sioux Falls hospital.
The crash took place around 11:30 am Thursday.
